Licensed to practice law in 1979, I have tried many criminal and juvenile cases, and even mental commitment hearings, among others. Advising working police officers and police departments has shown me both sides of criminal law. My law enforcement experience includes direct supervision, operational planning, canine patrol, firearms and ammunition, training, and advising a police department, including direct on-street legal advice for officers, and as judge in a municipal ordinance court.
